Yoreflix Terms of Service
Effective: 13 September 2026 · Last updated: 16 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Yoreflix Limited for your use of Yoreflix: the website at yoreflix.com, the Yoreflix viewer on the web, and the Yoreflix apps on phones, tablets and televisions (together, the "Service"). Please read them before you subscribe. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle your information.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Yoreflix Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16017862. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
You can contact us at support@yoreflix.com, or through the contact form. If we need to contact you, we will use the email address on your account.
2. Who can use Yoreflix
- You must be 18 or over to create an account or subscribe.
- Subscriptions are currently available to people living in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- An account is for you and the people in your household. Please keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone outside your household is using it.
- The information you give us when you sign up must be accurate, and you should keep your email address up to date.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Plans. We offer two plans, each giving access to the full Yoreflix catalogue available in your country:
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly | £5.99 per month |
| Yearly | £59.99 per year |
These are the prices on the Yoreflix website. They are charged in pounds sterling and include VAT. If you subscribe through an app store (see below), the store sets the price in its own currency and shows it to you before you pay.
How billing works. You pay in advance, when you subscribe and then at the start of each billing period. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and we will charge the payment method on your account, until you cancel. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it succeeds. If it cannot be collected, your subscription will end.
Promotional codes. From time to time we or our partners may offer a code that gives a discount, for example on your first yearly subscription. Any conditions (such as which plan it applies to, or that it covers the first billing period only) are shown when you use it. A code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and is applied when you subscribe.
Subscribing through an app store. Where you subscribe inside an app through Apple, Google, Amazon or Roku, that store takes the payment. Its own terms then govern billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds, and you manage the subscription through the store rather than through us.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account on the Yoreflix website, where the option is shown as Downgrade to Standard account. You can also ask us to cancel by emailing support@yoreflix.com. If you subscribed through an app store, cancel with that store instead (section 3).
When you cancel, your subscription will not renew, and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period you cancel part-way through, except where section 5 applies or the law requires it. We will confirm your cancellation by email.
When your paid period ends, your account becomes a Standard account. You can still sign in and browse the catalogue. Watching programmes requires a subscription, unless we are offering an advertising-supported service at the time, in which case a selection of titles may be available to Standard accounts with advertising.
5. Your right to cancel within 14 days
When you first subscribe, you have a legal right to change your mind. You can cancel within 14 days of the day you subscribed and receive a full refund of that first payment, even if you have already started watching.
To use this right, email support@yoreflix.com within the 14 days, saying that you want to cancel and receive a refund. (Cancelling from your account stops your subscription renewing, but does not on its own request a refund, so please email us as well.) We will refund you to the payment method you used, within 14 days of your telling us, and your access will end when the refund is made.
This right applies to your first subscription payment. It does not apply to later renewals, but you can always cancel so that you are not charged again (section 4).
6. Changes to prices and to the Service
Prices. If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies. The new price takes effect from your next renewal after that notice. If you do not want to pay it, you can cancel before then and you will not be charged the new price.
The catalogue. We license our programmes from the companies that hold their rights, or make them ourselves. Licences begin and end, so titles are added and removed over time, and some titles are only available in certain countries. We cannot promise that any particular title will remain available.
The Service. We may update, improve or change the Service, including its features and the devices it supports. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you, and you can cancel and receive a refund for any whole period you have paid for but not yet started.
7. Watching Yoreflix: your licence and our rules
While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to stream the programmes on the Service for your own private, non-commercial viewing, in the country where you live.
You must not:
- download, copy, record, capture or redistribute any programme, image or text from the Service, except where the Service itself offers that feature;
- show programmes to a paying audience or in any public or commercial setting;
- get around, disable or interfere with the digital rights management or any other protection on the Service;
- share your account or sign-in details with people outside your household, or sell or transfer your account;
- use automated tools to access, copy or scrape the Service; or
- use the Service in any way that is unlawful or that could damage it or other people's use of it.
The programmes, artwork, writing and software on the Service belong to Yoreflix or to the companies that license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not give you ownership of anything on the Service.
8. Devices and your connection
You can watch on supported web browsers and on the devices our apps are available for. Picture quality, including HD, depends on your device and your internet connection. You are responsible for the device and internet connection you use, and for any data charges from your provider. We may limit the number of devices signed in to one account, or the number of programmes that can be streamed at the same time.
9. Advertising
Paid subscriptions are free of advertising. If we introduce an advertising-supported way to watch, advertising will appear only in that part of the Service, and we will update these terms and our Privacy Policy before it starts.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
If you break these terms. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your account outside your household, getting around content protection, or using a payment you are not entitled to use. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you the chance to put things right.
If we stop providing the Service. If we close the Service, or your account, for any reason other than your breaking these terms, we will give you reasonable notice where we can and refund any part of a billing period you have paid for but will not receive.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account from your account on the Yoreflix website. If you still have time left in a paid period, we will stop your subscription from renewing and delete the account at the end of that period; otherwise it is deleted straight away. If you subscribed through Apple, Google or Amazon, we cannot stop that store charging you: cancel the subscription with the store as well. A subscription through Roku is cancelled with Roku for you. Some records, such as payment records we are required to keep, are retained as explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Our responsibility to you
The Service is for private, personal use. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when you subscribed. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for any business or commercial loss.
If a programme or the Service is faulty, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including, in some cases, the right to a repair, a replacement or a price reduction. Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) can tell you more about your rights.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
12. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please email support@yoreflix.com with your account email address and a description of the problem. We aim to reply within 72 hours and to resolve complaints as quickly as we can. If you are not happy with our response, you may be able to take your complaint further through Citizens Advice or the courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how the Service works. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or on the Service before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the change, you can cancel your subscription before it applies. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated.
14. Other important terms
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you if we do. Your rights under these terms will not be affected.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
- If a court decides that part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
- If we do not enforce our rights straight away, we can still enforce them later.
- These terms are between you and us. No one else has any right to enforce them.
15. Which laws apply
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about them in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
