Jane and Elizabeth Bennet, from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, get dressed in the fashion of the 1790s. A surprise visitor disrupts their day...
Getting dressed in the 1790s was a long and assisted business. Jane and Elizabeth Bennet work through the layers of a period morning together, in something much closer to real time than costume drama usually allows.
The arrival of an unexpected visitor turns a private routine into a scramble, and the sisters' preparations have to be finished with rather less dignity than they began.
Filmed on location at Epworth Old Rectory in North Lincolnshire, and directed by Nicole Loven. A thirteen-minute drama set in 1796.
